Before we take you to the self-referral form, we have a few quick questions to make sure we are the right service to meet your needs:

1

Do you need urgent or emergency help due to feeling suicidal or are in a mental health crisis situation?

Health in mind is not able to provide support for people who are in immediate danger and crisis or immediate risk of serious harm or injury.

2

Are you currently being seen by another mental health team or service?

If you are currently receiving counselling or being supported by a community-based team, please continue with completing the self-referral form and we can discuss your support from us at your first appointment.

If you are being seen by a psychiatrist or receiving long term mental health support, Health in Mind may not be able to support you at this time. We advise to speak with your care-coordinator or your regular appointed support person.

3

Are you registered to a doctors surgery which is NOT in the county of East Sussex?

If you are not a resident of East Sussex and live elsewhere, you may not be eligible to access our service. As we are part of a national programme of talking therapies services there will be a service near you.

Please click here to find your local service.

If you are a student in East Sussex but your doctors surgery is out of this area, you are welcome to continue your referral to us but you may instead wish to contact the local IAPT service which is joined to your doctors using the link above.

Please note our service does not cover Brighton & Hove.

That's all the questions done. If we have advised you to continue on ALL 3 questions please click on the below link to start your self-referral.
